Located in the historic center of Tokat and also known as Fatih Mehmet Paşa Hanı, Deveciler Hanı is a refined example of 17th-century Ottoman architecture—where function meets elegance in carved stone.

With its tall archways, two-story arcades, central courtyard well, and quiet symmetry, the inn once welcomed merchants from across Anatolia. Over the centuries, it has transformed into a silent archive of lived history—and now, that memory is reimagined through modern visual language.

In designing its identity, our aim was not simply to replicate the building’s form, but to reinterpret its architectural presence using today’s aesthetic codes. The resulting logo is not a literal drawing of the structure, but a distilled expression of its key elements—translated into a graphic vocabulary.

Goal

The arch represents the iconic entranceway; the stepped lines below suggest the interior circulation and vertical layering of the space. At the center, a circular form recalls the courtyard well—a place of gathering and quiet focus.

The entire mark is structured in a symmetrical composition that reflects the measured harmony of the original building.

This is not an illustration of the han itself, but an abstraction of its lasting impression.
A way of framing the past—through the eyes of today, for the future to carry forward.
